Salahuddin Ahmed’s Breakthrough Promise: Educated Youth Will Get Unemployment Allowance if BNP Comes to governance

Salahuddin Ahmed announced during an election road rally at Bahaddarkata School Station in Chakaria’s Konakhali Union on Friday morning (5 December) that if the BNP forms the next government, it will create jobs for 1.5 crore unemployed youths within one to one-and-a-half years.

He also promised that educated jobseekers who temporarily fail to find work will receive an allowance for a certain period. He added,

বিএনপি ক্ষমতায় গেলে দেশে আইনের শাসন প্রতিষ্ঠা ও নাগরিক অধিকার নিশ্চিত করা হবে।

Translation: “If BNP comes to power, the rule of law will be re-established, and citizens’ rights will be ensured.”

Addressing the event as the chief guest, the former Member of Parliament and BNP-nominated candidate said:

‘বিএনপি প্রতিশ্রুতি দেয় এবং প্রতিশ্রুতি রক্ষা করে। বিএনপি শপথ নিয়েছে- সরকার গঠন করলে দেশে আইনের শাসন প্রতিষ্ঠা করা হবে। এ দেশে সকল মানুষের নাগরিক অধিকার, মৌলিক অধিকার, মানবাধিকার, গণতান্ত্রিক অধিকার ও সাংবিধানিক অধিকার প্রতিষ্ঠা করা হবে।’

Translation: “BNP promises and BNP keeps its promises. We pledge that once in power, we will establish the rule of law. Every citizen of this country will have their civil, basic, human, democratic, and constitutional rights guaranteed.”

Discussing future welfare measures, Salahuddin Ahmed stated that all citizens will be included under a social safety net. He said:

‘এ দেশের দরিদ্র সকল মানুষকে ফ্যামিলি কার্ড প্রদান করে সবধরণের নিত্যপণ্য বিনামূল্যে প্রদান করা হবে। এ দেশ হবে- কৃষকের বাংলাদেশ, কৃষি বান্ধব বাংলাদেশ। এ দেশে সকলের স্বাস্থ্যসেবা নিশ্চিত করা হবে। কৃষকের জন্য কৃষিকার্ড প্রদান করা হবে। ন্যায্যমূল্যে বীজ-সারসহ সবকিছু তারা পাবেন। সহজ শর্তে কৃষিঋণের ব্যবস্থা করা হবে।’

Translation: “All poor families in this country will receive family cards, allowing them to get essential goods free of cost. Bangladesh will become a nation for farmers a truly agriculture-friendly country. Healthcare will be guaranteed for all. Farmers will receive agri-cards and get seeds, fertilizers, and all essential inputs at fair prices. Easy agricultural loans will be ensured.”

On the fourth day of his electoral campaign, Salahuddin toured multiple areas of Konakhali and BMchar unions, where he addressed several road meetings. People were seen participating with great enthusiasm and excitement.

He also provided financial assistance to seven families affected by a recent fire in Moghnama, Pekua. Later in the afternoon, he continued mass outreach in Saharbil, Badarkhali, Dhemushia, Purba Bara Veola, and Paschim Bara Veola unions.

In the first three days of campaign activities, he visited Khutakhali, Dulahazara and several unions of Pekua—Shilkhali, Barbakia, Toitong, Rajakhali, Magnama, Ujantia and Sadar—where he attended rallies and delivered speeches.

Salahuddin Ahmed arrived in Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday (2 December) morning on a five-day tour. He is scheduled to participate in various programs in his constituency, Chakaria and Pekua, until Sunday (7 December).
