Inquilab Manch spokesperson and independent candidate from Dhaka-8 constituency in the upcoming 13th National Parliament election Sharif Osman bin Hadi has been seriously injured in a gunfight with miscreants. He was rescued and admitted to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where he is currently in a coma.
Doctor’s concerned comments
Dr. Moshkat Ahmed, resident physician (RS) of the emergency department of DMCH, said,
শরিফ ওসমান হাদীর অবস্থা খুবই গুরুতর।তার মাথায় গুলিবিদ্ধ হয়েছে। তিনি এখন কোমায় আছেন।
Translation: Sharif Osman Hadi is in a very serious condition. He was shot in the head. He is now in a coma.
Details of the incident
It is learnt that on Friday (December 12) afternoon, gunmen opened fire on him in the culvert area of Bijoynagar in the capital. He was quickly rescued with bullet wounds and brought to DMCH Hospital at 2:35 pm.

Dhaka Medical College Police Outpost In-charge Md. Faruk said,
‘গুলিবিদ্ধ অবস্থায় তাকে হাসপাতালে নেওয়া হয়েছে।’
Translation: “He was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds.”
Claims of political colleagues
Hadi’s political colleagues told reporters outside the DMCH that he urgently needed B negative blood. They also said that two men on a motorcycle shot at him during the election campaign and quickly fled.
Police response
DMP Motijheel Division Deputy Commissioner of Police (DC) Mohammad Harun Or Rashid said,
আমরা শুনেছি বিজয়নগর এলাকায় তিনি গুলিবিদ্ধ হয়েছেন।তবে বিষয়টি আমরা নিশ্চিত নই, আমাদের টিম পাঠিয়েছি। টিম আমাদের কনফার্ম করলে এ বিষয়ে বিস্তারিত বলতে পারব।
Translation: We heard that he was shot in the Vijayanagar area. However, we are not sure about this, we have sent our team. We will be able to tell you more about this when the team confirms it to us.
