Doctors Describe Hadi’s Condition as Extremely Critical
Special Assistant to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Dr Sayedur Rahman, has said that Sharif Osman Hadi suffered severe damage to his brain stem after being shot in the head. According to medical terms, this condition is described as a “massive brain injury”.
He said the next 72 hours are extremely critical, and at this stage, doctors will not introduce any new medical intervention.
Statement After Visiting Evercare Hospital
Dr Sayedur Rahman shared the update with journalists on Friday night around 9:30 PM after visiting Hadi at Evercare Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment. He said,

Patient on Life Support
Dr Sayedur Rahman said Hadi is currently in a critical condition and is being kept on artificial ventilation. Doctors are unable to give any hopeful assurance at this moment. Said,

Bullet Passed Through the Head
According to Dr Rahman, the bullet entered above Hadi’s left ear and exited through the right side of his head. During this path, the brain stem, which controls breathing, heartbeat, and other life-sustaining functions, was badly damaged.
At present, the patient is being kept only on life support.
Small Signs of Life, But Situation Still Complex
Dr Sayedur Rahman said that Hadi still shows signs of life. During surgery, doctors noticed some attempts at natural breathing, which provided a small source of hope.
However, he made it clear that the situation remains very complicated. Before surgery, Hadi went into shock once. Later, during ambulance transfer, he experienced heavy bleeding from the nose and throat, which has now been temporarily controlled.
Doctors Not Offering False Hope
Dr Sayedur Rahman stressed that there is no situation right now to give hopeful stories. Doctors will continue close observation and decide the next steps based on how the patient responds. He said,
Translation: “At this moment, there is no situation to share hopeful stories.”
