Translation: “Osman Hadi has left us. His dream was to liberate all of Bangladesh and to protect the people of this country from the grip of imperialism. By following Osman’s path, thousands of freedom-seeking people will be born and will stand up for the liberation of the Bengali nation. The security, sympathy, and respect we are now showing should actually have been ensured for Osman while he was alive.”
He further added:
Translation: “People of this country often fail to recognize pure gold; they only realize its value after it is gone. After the July Revolution, in the new Bangladesh, people like Osman should have been protected with the highest level of security and retained for the welfare of the nation.
Today, our demand to the administration is that Osman Hadi be declared with the highest state honor of Bangladesh and recognized as a Hero of Bengal. We want his name to be permanently associated with the dignity of a national hero.”
His family and supporters believe his ideals and sacrifices should be permanently honored through state recognition and inclusion in national textbooks, so that future generations remember him as a true hero of Bangladesh.
