Agartala Visa Office Closed
The Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala, Tripura, has temporarily closed its visa and consular services indefinitely from Tuesday. The decision comes amid protests by local organizations following the death of Deepu Chandra Das in recent days.

Siliguri Visa Application Centre Suspended
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Visa Offices in Siliguri, West Bengal, has also temporarily suspended its operations. According to sources, a private company manages visa applications on behalf of the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Siliguri.
Some protesters reportedly threatened a female employee of the private company, prompting the temporary halt of services.
Status in Other Offices
Sources confirmed that the Bangladesh Embassy in Delhi had earlier suspended visa services as well. However, the Bangladesh visa office in Kolkata is still operating normally.
