Alliance Decision Confirmed
The National Citizen Party (NCP) is set to form an alliance with Jamaat-e-Islami to participate in the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election. The official announcement of the alliance will be made on Sunday (28 December).
The information was confirmed on Saturday night (27 December) by NCP Senior Joint Convener Samanta Sharmin.

Statement from NCP Leadership
Samanta Sharmin said:
“ফাইনালি জামায়াতের সঙ্গে এনসিপি জোটে যাচ্ছে। আগামীকাল (রোববার) ঘোষণা দেওয়া হবে।”
Translation: “Finally, NCP is going into an alliance with Jamaat. The announcement will be made tomorrow (Sunday).”
Resignation Within NCP
Meanwhile, Dr Tasnim Jara, Senior Joint Member Secretary of National Citizen Party, has resigned from the party. She has announced that she will contest the 13th National Parliamentary Election as an independent candidate.
Political Context
The alliance move comes at a crucial time as political parties prepare for the next general election. The resignation of a senior leader on the same day has drawn attention within political circles.
