Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) VP Abu Sadiq Qayem said,
“শহীদ শরিফ ওসমান হাদিরর হত্যাকারীরা গ্রেপ্তার না হলে ও এ হত্যার বিচার না হলে আমরা ধরে নেবো এ হত্যার সঙ্গে রাষ্ট্রের একটি অংশ জড়িত।”
Translation : “If the killers of Shaheed Sharif Osman Hadir are not arrested and there is no justice for this murder, we will assume that a part of the state is involved in this murder.”
He said these things at the unveiling of the graffiti of Shaheed Sharif Osman Hadir at the Masterda Suryasen Hall of Dhaka University (DU) on Saturday (December 27) evening.
DUCSU Literature and Culture Secretary Musaddiq Ali Ibne Mohammad, Health and Environment Secretary Abdullah Al Minhaj, Masterda Suryasen Hall Provost Professor Dr. Rafiqul Islam, Hall Sangsad VP Azizul Haque and others were also present at the time.

Sadiq Qayem said, Osman Hadi had said,
“জান দেবো কিন্তু জুলাই দেবো না।”
Translation : “I will give my life but I will not give July.”
He has kept his word. 16 days have passed since the attack on Osman Hadi. But the government has not yet been able to arrest his killers.
He said,
“আমরা খবর পেয়েছি হামলার পাঁচ ঘণ্টার মধ্যে খুনি ভারতে চলে গেছে। দেশের এত ইন্টেলিজেন্স ফাঁকি দিয়ে সে কীভাবে গেলো? এ ঘটনার এত দিন পার হলেও সরকার হত্যাকারীদের গ্রেপ্তার করতে পারলো না।”
Translation : “We have received news that the killer had gone to India within five hours of the attack. How did he escape even with such intelligence from the country? Even after so many days of this incident, the government has not been able to arrest the killers.”
DUCSU VP said,
“বাংলাদেশে আর কোনো দিল্লির তাবেদারি চলবে না, ফ্যাসিবাদের জায়গা হবে না। ওসমান হাদির বিচার এই স্বাধীন বাংলাদেশে হবে ইনশাআল্লাহ। যারা এই বিচার প্রক্রিয়াকে বাধাগ্রস্ত করবে তাদের সবাইকে আমরা দেখে নেবো। আমরা কথা দিচ্ছি, শহীদ ওসমান হাদির বিচার এই বাংলাদেশে হবে। যারা এই হত্যাকাণ্ডে জড়িত তাদের কাউকে ছাড় দেওয়া হবে না।”
Translation : “There will be no more Delhi’s obedience in Bangladesh, there will be no place for fascism. Osman Hadi’s trial will be held in this independent Bangladesh, God willing. We will see to it that all those who obstruct this trial process. We promise that martyr Osman Hadi’s trial will be held in this Bangladesh. None of those involved in this murder will be spared.”
DUCSU Literature and Culture Editor Musaddiq Ali Ibne Mohammad said,
“ওসমান হাদির লড়াই ইনসাফের লড়াই, জুলাই বিপ্লবকে পূর্ণতা দানের লড়কি, আধিপত্যবাদ বিরোধী লড়াই। এই লড়াই একটি দীর্ঘ লড়াই। আমাদের এই লড়াই চালিয়ে যেতে হবে।”
Translation : “Osman Hadi’s fight is a fight for justice, a fight to complete the July Revolution, a fight against hegemony. This fight is a long fight. We have to continue this fight.”
