The metro rail station at Dhaka University’s TSC (Teachers-Students Centre) will remain closed on December 16, 25, 31, and January 1. This decision aims to manage the presence of outsiders and maintain order on campus during these significant days.
DU Proctor Associate Professor Saifuddin Ahmed announced the closure during a press briefing on Sunday, December 8. He explained that the recommendation was made at a meeting on national law and order, where it was promptly approved by the Communications Secretary and the Metro Rail management.
The university authorities emphasized that controlling campus access is essential, especially during large public gatherings, and closing the metro station is a key part of these measures. An official letter has already been sent to implement this directive.
