The BNP has announced a Victory Concert at Manik Mia Avenue in Dhaka on December 16 to commemorate Victory Day. Organized by the newly-formed cultural platform ‘Sabar Age Bangladesh’ under BNP’s patronage, the event aims to unite the nation in celebration.
BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Adding Chowdhury Annie, speaking at a press conference in Gulshan, stated, “For 15-16 years, Bengalis couldn’t celebrate Victory Day properly due to oppression by the Awami League government. This concert is a step towards reclaiming that spirit.”
The event will feature performances by popular bands, including Nagarbaul, Souls, Ark, Different Touch, Sonar Bangla Circus, and Avoid Rafa. The concert is free and open to all.
The press conference also marked the formal launch of ‘Sabar Age Bangladesh’, described as a BNP-backed initiative. Several party leaders, including Sultan Salauddin Tuku and Nurul Islam Nayon, were present at the announcement.
