Bangladesh Bank issued two commemorative coins to commemorate the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup. One was a 10 Taka metal coin, which is an original commemorative coin of Bangladesh Bank. The coin had the ‘ICC Cricket World Cup Bangladesh 2011’ logo on one side and the World Cup trophy on the other side, with the inscriptions ‘Bangladesh Bank’ and ‘TEN TAKA’.
The other was a 10 Taka silver commemorative coin, which was minted in Germany. This coin was introduced in the market as a special collectible and its selling price was 3,000 Taka.
