A residential building in the Banasree area of the capital caught fire. Four fire department units raced to the location after learning of the incident. At 8:35 p.m. on Friday, December 20, the fire department stated that they had received information regarding the event. According to information obtained, the incident happened at a six-story structure located on Road 4 of Block C, House 16. The third level of the structure was where the fire started.
The fire service has not yet been able to determine the cause of the fire or provide detailed information about the extent of the damage.
Earlier in the day, a fire broke out at a restaurant in the capital’s Uttara. The incident occurred at 10:38 AM at a restaurant named “Loveline” on Shah Makhdum Road in Sector 12. The fire was brought under control after three and a half hours of effort by 12 units of the fire service. However, no casualties were reported in that incident.
