Pran Invests BDT 600 Crore in Poultry for Sustainable Production and Employment

Pran, one of Bangladesh’s largest food and beverage companies, has announced plans to invest BDT 600 crore in its poultry sector by 2027 to meet the growing demand for eggs and chicken. Known for its wide range of products, including snacks, beverages, and dairy, Pran is a household name in Bangladesh and exports to over 145 countries worldwide.

As part of this expansion, Pran will set up four modern egg farms in Noakhali, Shariatpur, Chittagong, and Mymensingh. These farms will produce 20 lakh eggs daily, making it one of the largest operations in the country. Of the total investment, BDT 400 crore will be allocated to the egg farms, while BDT 200 crore will go toward breeding and broiler farms to ensure a consistent supply of chicken.

This initiative will create 2,000 jobs, providing new opportunities for local communities. Pran will also use advanced technology to ensure production is efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality, while keeping prices affordable for consumers.

As a key player in Bangladesh’s agricultural and food industries, Pran’s investment highlights its commitment to supporting the country’s food security, rural development, and economic growth. With poultry consumption on the rise, this move will benefit both consumers and the overall economy.
