Visit Fee Remains 300 Taka for Lifetime – Dr. Ejaz

Dr. Ejajul Islam, a well-known actor and devoted doctor, has recently ignited a new debate by demonstrating his service-oriented mentality and humanitarian principles. He has again demonstrated that it is possible to win people over with the principles of honesty and service after assuming leadership of the Nuclear Medicine Department at Dhaka Medical College.

Dr. Ejaj recently discussed his financial ideals and principles for his medical career on a Channel 24 chat show. He talked about how he earned the reputation of being the “doctor for the poor” by offering affordable medical care and why he never felt the need to raise his fees.

“My visitation fee hasn’t gone up by more than three hundred taka yet. ‘Your younger physicians are charging more than you, and you’re an expert,’ my staff said when I was promoted. “If you charge so little, people will doubt you and you won’t maintain your dignity,” they stated. ‘There’s nothing to doubt,’ I said.

“I noticed that patients were finding it harder to pay that sum when I started charging 500 taka! It lasted me two days. “The fee will remain 300 taka, and it will stay that way for life,” I informed the workers over the phone after that.

He also stated on the talk program that he considers the desire of excessive wealth—beyond what is required for survival—to be a “mental illness.” “What does a person need?” he said. Rice, fish, and meat on a platter. Beyond that, why would they require so much money? What will be done with it by those who have dreams of hundreds of crores? In reality, it’s an addiction, and addiction is a mental condition.

He also disclosed that he had experienced cardiac problems that required a stent operation, but he was still able to pay for his care at that time. “Allah provided for me whatever I needed,” he remarked. The schooling of my children is nearly finished. I don’t have any further requirements.
