A new project has been launched by the Bangladesh Power Development Board (PDB). The project highlights meeting the demands throughout the summer season.
They predict that the power demand will be 18,000 MW, with the highest production their target set at 17,260 MW and most probably leading to 740 MW of load shedding.
Although, during Ramadan, the government fixed the aim for zero load shedding, while the peak demand is expected at 15,700 MW.
The government is working to anchor supply gas and LNG imports, which will be amplified and will focus on diminishing cooling load.
If this project is successful, the summer power problem can be solved and will contribute significantly to summer power demand.
