Dhaka, Bangladesh – Nahid Islam, a prominent political activist, has announced the launch of a new political platform, vowing his determination to stay outside the government to become a credible political force.
In an interview, Nahid Islam expressed himself as being certain that the political climate of the present requires a separate force from the country’s current ruling circle. He indicated that there was a necessity to stay close to the masses and students in order to bring about change.
“My role would be stronger outside of the government than within it,” he declared, underlining his determination towards street movements and grass-roots activism.
This statement is the dawn of a new era in the politics of Bangladesh, as Nahid Islam attempts to alter the prevalent power structures through public mobilization and participation.
