New Possibilities for Remote and Undeserved Areas
Since Starlink provides internet directly through satellite connectivity, it can reach areas where optical fiber or mobile networks don’t making it a viable solution for remote, island, and hilly regions of the country. Experts believe that it’s entry will open new opportunities in education, healthcare, and digital economy for Bangladesh’s rural and hard-to-reach areas.
It recently received official approval from the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC). In the coming months, the company plans to launch special packages tailored for corporate, business, and educational institutions. Tech analysts consider it’s arrival a significant step toward achieving the goals of a Digital Bangladesh.
