The court remanded ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury, a former Member of Parliament of Chittagong-6 Constituency, for two days. Chittagong Chief Judicial Magistrate Nurul Harun’s court gave this order on Tuesday (September 24).
This morning, this former MP was taken to the court through tight security. The court granted a 2-day remand after seeking a 7-day remand in a case filed in a 2019 incident in Roujan.
Later, two different cases in the city were taken up in the court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sarkar Hasan Shahriar. If the remand is sought there, the court fixed the hearing date on Thursday and ordered to take action as per the prison rules.
At that time, common people protested to demand the trial of Fazle Karim Chowdhury.
