Government Warns Against Fake News

The Deputy Press Secretary to the Chief Advisor, Abul Kalam Azad Mazumder, has said that the government will take legal action against anyone who publishes wrong information and confuses people. He said this at a press conference in Dhaka on Wednesday (June 4, 2025).

War Heroes’ Title News Was Fake

Azad Mazumder said that the news about the titles of war heroes was fake, untrue, and completely made up. He warned that the government will take action against those who spread such wrong information and mislead the public from now on.

News Outlets Asked to Apologize

The Chief Advisor’s press wing has asked news organizations that published this wrong news to apologize to their readers.

Update on Missing Persons Commission

During the press conference, when asked about the report submitted by the Missing Persons Commission, Azad Mazumder said that those involved in the disappearances will be brought to justice. He also mentioned that the Chief Advisor, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, has instructed to find the more than 300 missing people.
