Ariful’s father died in a truck accident in Tangail while they were traveling from Bagha upazila in Rajshahi to Dhaka to sell cattle. After burying his father, Ariful returned to Dhaka to sell the cows. He was seen waiting at the Bashila cattle market with the unsold cows, and this news was reported by the media.

Good News: All Three Cows Sold

Fortunately, all three of Ariful’s cows have now been sold. He is preparing to head home. The news about the sale was shared by Sayed Abdullah, a former law student at Dhaka University.

How the Sale Happened

Sayed Abdullah told on social media,

“Let me share some good news. You might have seen the news report by journalist Abul Kalam Azad about Ariful sitting sadly with his unsold three cows at the Bashila market. Thanks to the circulation of that news on social media, I just got the update from Ariful that all three cows have been sold. Two cows were sold by noon, and the last one was still unsold for a while, but it has just been sold.

He added,

“After seeing the Facebook post, a few buyers contacted me to reach Ariful. I connected them. One kind gentleman bought the last cow and informed me by phone. Others who were interested were asked not to contact Ariful for now. I am very grateful for everyone’s kindness and support.”

Sayed Abdullah expressed that thanks to the media and social networks, Ariful’s difficult situation received some attention. This support helped the boy during his tough time. Now, Ariful and his brother-in-law are on their way home to Rajshahi. We wish them well.
