Mostafa Mohsin Montu, one of the key organizers of Bangladesh’s Liberation War and the president of Gano Forum, has passed away. He breathed his last on Sunday (15 June) at around 5 PM while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Dhaka.
At the time of his death, he was 79 years old. The information has been confirmed by his family members. Following his demise, BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed their condolences and extended sympathy to the bereaved family.

Last year, on 30 November, Gano Forum announced its central committee, appointing Mostafa Mohsin Montu as president and Mizanur Rahman as general secretary. Dr. Kamal Hossain was made the emeritus president.
