Viral Post About “Old Love in New Form”
A fresh controversy has surfaced involving Islamic speaker Abu Tawha Muhammad Adnan, after his wife Sabikun Nahar Sarah posted a long Facebook status accusing him of being romantically involved with an air hostess.
Sarah claimed the woman, Zarin Zebin, was Abu Tawha Adnan’s college girlfriend 15 years ago and that their relationship had been revived recently.
She wrote,
“এয়ার হোস্টেসদের মেবি সেলিব্রিটি পছন্দ, আর সেলিব্রিটিগণও মেবি এয়ার হোস্টেস ডিজার্ব করে। আপনাদের উস্তাদ আবু ত্বহা মোহাম্মদ আদনান প্রেমে মজেছেন জারিন জেবিন নামক তার ১৫ বছর পূর্বের কলেজ লাইফের প্রিয়তমা বর্তমান এয়ার হোস্টেস এর।”
Translation: “Maybe air hostesses like celebrities, and maybe celebrities deserve air hostesses. Your Ustad Abu Tawha Muhammad Adnan has fallen in love with Zarin Zebin, his college lover from 15 years ago, who is now an air hostess.”
“He Didn’t Change Despite My Patience”
In the comments, Sarah explained that she had deleted her earlier post, hoping Abu Tawha Adnan would change, but that never happened.
“আমি মিথ্যা বলিনি। নিছক সন্দেহের বশে লেখার তো প্রশ্নই আসে না… সংশোধন এর আশায় ডিলিট করেছিলাম। কিন্তু ভক্তদের অতিমাত্রায় তাকে নির্দোষ প্রমাণ করার আস্ফালন তা তাকে পরিশুদ্ধ হতে দিচ্ছে না।”
Translation: “I didn’t lie. I didn’t post out of suspicion… I deleted the earlier post hoping he would improve. But his fans defending him blindly are stopping him from becoming a better person.”

Allegations of Misconduct at Religious Centers
Sarah also accused Abu Tawha Adnan of using his religious institutions to meet women privately under the guise of classes and programs.
“আসলে আপনাদের দেয়া টাকায় গড়া তার প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলো বিভিন্ন আয়োজন ও ক্লাসের নামে যেকোনো নারীর সাথে একান্তে মিট করার কারখানা। নারী পুরুষ একসাথে ক্লাস নেয়া।”
Translation: “In reality, the institutions built with your donations have become meeting spots for him to interact privately with women under the name of classes and programs.”
She further claimed that the preacher, who publicly opposes co-education, allowed unrestricted interaction between men and women in his own centres.
“He Comes Home at 3 AM”
Sarah wrote that Abu Taha often returned home late at night and openly admitted to talking with the air hostess.
“যাইহোক আমার বিছানায় বসে প্রেম করেন এয়ার হোস্টেস নারীর সাথে তিনি মা শা আল্লাহ। সেন্টারে কাজ আছে বলে রাত ৩টায় বাসায় আসেন। এসে আবার জানান তিনি তার প্রেমিকার সাথে কথা বলেন।”
Translation: “Anyway, he sits on my bed and talks romantically with that air hostess, Ma Sha Allah. He comes home at 3 AM saying he had work at the center and then tells me he was talking to his lover.”
Mentions of Another Woman
She also mentioned another woman — a religious student from Rangpur — with whom Abu Taha was allegedly involved before meeting the air hostess.
“আপনাদের উস্তাদ সে মেয়েকে ইফতা পড়াবে, তাকে নিয়ে দ্বীনের কাজ করবে, বিয়ে করবে ইত্যাদি কথা দিয়ে তার বাবা ভাইয়ের সাথেও কথা বলেছে… কিন্তু পরে এয়ার হোস্টেসকে পেয়ে সেই মেয়েকে বিয়ে করতে অস্বীকৃতি জানায়।”
Translation: “Your Ustad promised that woman he would teach her Islamic law, work for religion with her, and even marry her — but after meeting the air hostess, he refused to marry that woman.”

“I Am Mentally Exhausted”
Sarah concluded her post by saying she is under extreme pressure and no longer mentally or physically fit to continue her online classes for now.
“এমতাবস্থায় মানসিক ও শারীরিকভাবে ফিট ফিল করছি না বিধায় এবারের অনলাইন তালিম স্থগিত করা হলো… উসমান আয়িশা সহ আমার জন্য দু’আর দরখাস্ত। বে-শাক আমি গুনাহগার। রবের ক্ষমার মুখাপেক্ষী।”
Translation: “In this situation, I don’t feel mentally or physically fit, so my online religious classes are suspended for now… I ask for your prayers for myself and for my children Usman and Aisha. I am a sinner, seeking my Lord’s mercy and forgiveness.”
