“Air Force to Continue Support Until All Injured Recover”: Says Air Chief

After the tragic crash of a fighter jet at Milestone School and College in Uttara, the Bangladesh Air Force has promised to continue helping the injured until they fully recover. This was confirmed by Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan in a press briefing held on Tuesday, July 22.

“আহতরা পুরোপুরি সুস্থ না হওয়া পর্যন্ত বিমান বাহিনী তাদের পাশে থাকবে।”
“The Air Force will stand by the injured until they are completely recovered.”

No Information Is Being Hidden, Says Air Chief

The Air Chief made it clear that there is no attempt to hide any facts regarding the incident. He emphasized that all citizens have the right to know the truth and the Air Force is updating everyone through the official ISPR channel.

“তথ্য লুকানোর কোনো সম্ভাবনা নেই। কার কাছ থেকে লুকাব? সবাই দেশের মানুষ।”
“There’s no question of hiding information. Who would we hide it from? Everyone is our own people.”

Technical Failure Caused the Crash, Not Engine Negligence

Addressing rumors on social media, the Air Chief clarified that the crash happened due to a technical malfunction, not due to negligence in engine maintenance. He said the Bangladesh Air Force never compromises with engine safety.

“ইঞ্জিন নিয়ে কোনো ধরনের কম্প্রোমাইজ করে না বিমান বাহিনী।”
“The Air Force does not compromise when it comes to engine safety.”

He also requested people not to believe or spread false rumors on social media.

“সামাজিকমাধ্যমে অনেক গুজব চলছে, যা দুঃখজনক। গুজবে কান না দিতে অনুরোধ করছি।”
“There are many rumors on social media, which is very unfortunate. Please don’t listen to them.”

Crash Details and Casualty Update

On Monday, July 21, an F-7 BGI model fighter jet of the Bangladesh Air Force crashed on the campus of Milestone School and College in Diabari, Uttara. The death toll has now risen to 31. Apart from the pilot and a teacher, all the victims were students.
