A horrific and heartbreaking incident has taken place in Bhola Sadar Upazila. A young man named Kamal Majhi has been accused of breaking into a house, holding a knife to the throat of his children, tying up his hands and feet and raping a housewife. The brutal incident took place on Tuesday (July 8) night. The victim is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Details of The Horrific Incident
According to family sources, at the time of the incident, the victim’s husband was at sea in search of livelihood. The woman was sleeping with her two children at home. It was raining heavily outside. Taking advantage of this, Kamal Majhi, son of Keru Majhi of the same area, and his accomplices entered the house by cutting the drain.

First, they tied the victim’s hands and feet. When she tried to scream, Kamal threatened the child with a sharp knife. Then, the victim alleged that he threatened the woman and raped her.
The victim was filmed naked after the rape. She was later forced to say that she had brought Kamal home voluntarily. She was blackmailed through the video – the accused Kamal threatened that if she revealed the rape, the video would go viral and her children would be killed.
The victim woman said,
কামাল আমার ঘরে প্রবেশ করে আমাকে ধর্ষণ করেছে। তার সাথে আরও লোক ছিল, তারা বাহিরে ছিল। আমি তাদের চিনতে পারিনি। এছাড়া চুলের মুঠি ধরে আমাকে বাহিরে টেনে নিয়ে, আমাকে দিয়েই সিঁধ কাটার মাটি ভরাট করেন কামাল।
Translation: “Kamal entered my house and raped me. There were other people with him, they were outside. I did not recognize them. Besides, Kamal grabbed me by the hair and dragged me outside, using me to fill the hole with soil.”
The accused Kamal Majhi has been absconding since this horrific incident. Despite multiple attempts to contact him, he could not be found.
In this regard, Bhola Sadar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Hasnain Parvez said,
“ঘটনার বিষয়ে শুনেছি এবং আমাদের পুলিশের টিম ঘটনাস্থল ও হাসপাতালে গিয়েছে। তদন্ত চলছে।”
Translation: “We have heard about the incident and our police team has gone to the scene and the hospital. Investigation is underway.”
