A ship named MV Elpida GR has arrived at Chattogram port carrying 50,200 metric tons of wheat from Argentina. This information was provided in a press release sent by the Ministry of Food on Wednesday (February 5). According to the statement, the wheat was imported from Argentina through an international open tender. Of the wheat on board, 30,120 metric tons will be unloaded at Chattogram port, while 20,080 metric tons will be unloaded at Mongla port. The unloading process has already begun at Chattogram port. The Ministry of Food reported that it imported 7.84 lakh tonnes of wheat for the fiscal year 2023–2024.
