Government’s Priority Before Elections
The adviser emphasized that the government is trying to recover as many weapons as possible before the national elections.
He said:
“At present, many recruitments are taking place. If there is any corruption in recruitment business, I urge you to report it.”
Statement on Recruitment and Corruption
Jahangir Alam Chowdhury also spoke about corruption in recruitment and other illegal practices.
He added:
Translation: “You used to talk about our transfer business and admission business. If there is corruption in admission and someone provides that information, they will be rewarded.”
He clarified that unlike weapons recovery, there is no fixed cash reward for this, but the government has taken measures to stop recruitment-related corruption.
Warning Against Misreporting
The adviser urged people to report corruption and misconduct but warned against false accusations.
He said:
Translation: “If we commit corruption, you should report it too. But please don’t make false reports.”
Situation of Law and Order
Regarding mob violence, Jahangir Alam Chowdhury mentioned that incidents have reduced but not completely stopped.
