In a terrible tragedy on Pragati Sarani road in Badda, Dhaka, on Wednesday morning (October 9), a bus was killed Irene, a 24-year-old lady. a fintech company Next Venture, employed Irene. The bus which caused the accident had belonged to Akash Paribahan, and the police had custody of it.
Hundreds employees of Irene’s company protested about the incident outside the Fuji Trade Centre by blocking the road in protest, which created heavy traffic in the Pragati Sarani area. Deputy Police Commissioner (ADC) Zia Uddin Ahmed of the Gulshan Traffic Division verified the incident by saying, “The victim was crushed under the wheels of an Akash Paribahan bus.” The bus has been seized, and attempts are being made to get regular travel back. Right now, traffic is being diverted to one side of the road.” The accident happened at 9 in the morning, according to Sub-Inspector (SI) Md. Abbas of the Badda Police Station. The driver and helper left the scene while the bus was seized. After all the protestors leave, the road will be cleaned and legal action taken.
