Bangladesh Bank is bringing new banknotes to help people learn more about the country’s history, traditions, and natural beauty. These notes will not have anyone’s photo. Instead, they will show important historical places, beautiful landscapes, and cultural symbols of Bangladesh.
New Design Without Any Person’s Photo
Officials from Bangladesh Bank said that the new notes will not show any person’s picture. Instead, they will show famous buildings, natural scenes, and cultural items from different parts of the country. The goal of the new design is to show the true identity of Bangladesh.
Initial Release Before Eid-ul-Azha
In the first phase, only 20, 50, and 100 taka notes will be released. People are expected to get them before Eid-ul-Azha, around June 2 or 3, 2025. The remaining notes of other values will be released step by step. For now, the bank will release a limited number of the new notes into the market.
