Bangladesh has received over us$ 1.2Billion within 18 days

Bangladesh has received more than US$ 1.20 Billion ($1206.88 Million) in remittances in 18 days of January 2025 . As per the latest update provided by Bangladesh Bank, migranting Bangladeshis have sent this amount of money through banking channels between January 1 and 18, 2025.

As reported by Bangladesh Bank, migranting Bangladeshis sent more than $1.2 Billion in remittances at the time of the first 18 days of January 2025.This was accomplished through banking channels and included money sent by government banks, private banks, and foreign banks. Most probably 9 banks did not received any remittances.

According to remittance analysis:

Government banks: $258.87 Million, including $66.79 Million from Agrani Bank, $60.43 Million from Janata Bank, $56.95 Million from Rupali Bank, $74.64 Million from Sonali Bank, and $0.06 Million from Basic Bank

Specialized banks: $50.98 Million from Bangladesh Krishi Bank

Private banks: $893.31 Million, including $177.37 Million from Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd

Foreign banks: $3.72 Million.
