Bangladesh has decided to join the Global Network for Youth Competitiveness – ‘HOPE Network’ at the invitation of the Government of Bahrain. This will make Bangladesh the 31st member country of the network. The platform promotes youth empowerment, innovation and partnerships globally. The ministry hopes that this membership will open new horizons in the internationalization of Bangladesh’s youth policy and help showcase the country’s achievements at the global level.
Bangladesh joins HOPE Network
Responding to the invitation of the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Government of Bahrain, Bangladesh has decided to join the Global Network for Youth Competitiveness, ‘HOPE Network’. Yesterday, Sunday, the Youth and Sports Advisor officially consented to this network on behalf of Bangladesh. With this, Bangladesh is going to join the HOPE Network as the 31st member country.
What is HOPE Network?
HOPE Network is a global platform that,
- encourages youth empowerment
- Innovation
- Global partnerships
Currently, the network has 30 members. These include—
- All GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) member countries
- United States
- China
- France
- Italy
- United Nations Youth Office

Potential for Bangladesh
A press release from the Ministry of Youth and Sports said that the membership of this network will inject new momentum into the internationalization of Bangladesh’s youth policy.
Through this, Bangladesh will,
- Get the opportunity to exchange knowledge, skills and experience with different countries and organizations of the world
- Can implement joint initiatives
- Will be able to play an effective role in addressing global youth challenges
Ministry’s expectations
The Ministry hopes that as a member of the HOPE Network, Bangladesh will—
- Be able to showcase achievements, innovative ideas and experiences related to youth development at the international level
- Have the opportunity to learn from the best practices of other member countries
- Can make the country’s youth power more active and competitive in the international arena
