Bangladesh Declares National Mourning After Shocking Plane Crash in Uttara

Following the tragic crash of a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft at Milestone School and College campus in Uttara, Dhaka, the government has declared a one-day national mourning.

The mourning will be observed on Tuesday, 22 July, to honor those killed and injured in the incident.

Flags to Be Lowered at Half-Mast

On this day, the national flag will be flown at half-mast across all government, semi-government, autonomous, and educational institutions. The same will apply to all private buildings and Bangladeshi missions abroad.

Special Prayers to Be Held Nationwide

Special prayers will be offered at all religious places of worship across the country. These prayers will be held for the victims of the tragic plane crash—both those injured and those who lost their lives.
