Bangladesh Railway has commenced advance ticket sales for intercity trains starting Monday to facilitate Eid-ul-Azha travelers. Assuming Eid will fall on June 7, ticket sales are being conducted under a special seven-day plan to manage the expected holiday rush.
Tickets for June 5 journeys became available on Monday, with tickets for June 6 scheduled to go on sale Tuesday. To enhance passenger convenience, this year’s ticketing is fully online. Sales for west-bound trains started at 8:00 am, while those heading east will be available from 2:00 pm.

A total of 33,315 seats have been allocated for intercity trains departing Dhaka during the Eid travel period. Under the current policy, each passenger is allowed to purchase up to four tickets per transaction, and tickets are non-refundable. Passengers are encouraged to plan ahead and secure their tickets early to ensure smooth travel during the festive season.
