Bangladesh’s Strong Support for Palestine

Bangladesh has welcomed the recent recognition of Palestine as a state by four major Western countries—Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Portugal.

The Foreign Affairs Adviser said this recognition is an important move toward the final independence of Palestine, but he also mentioned that Palestinians still have a long way to go.

Translation: “As we have always stood by Palestine and supported its people, we welcome the recognition by these four countries. We believe this is good news. With the recognition of the UK, Canada, Australia, and Portugal, more than 150 countries now directly support the Palestinians’ struggle for independence.”

France May Recognize Palestine Soon

The adviser also mentioned that France, another influential Western nation, has announced that it may recognize Palestine soon. If that happens, Palestine will have the recognition of four out of five permanent members of the UN Security Council, a major step in the global diplomatic arena.

Translation: “Another powerful Western country, France, has said it will soon recognize Palestine as a state. If this happens, four of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council will recognize Palestine.”

Long Struggle of Palestinians

The adviser reminded that Palestinians have been suffering for over 75 years, facing Israeli aggression and daily violations of human rights. Despite these hardships, global recognition is increasing.

With the new recognition from Canada, the UK, and Australia, Palestine now has the support of 151 countries worldwide. The UN General Assembly is also set to discuss Israel’s ongoing aggression in Gaza in its upcoming session.
