Remittance Flow in August
According to Bangladesh Bank, from August 1 to 30, the country received $2.229 billion in remittances. On average, that means migrants sent $74.3 million every single day.
In comparison, during the same period last year, remittances stood at $2.187 billion. This shows an increase of 1.90% year-on-year.
Remittance in the Last Three Days
Between 28–30 August, Bangladesh received $142 million in remittance. This indicates that the flow of money from migrant workers remained strong even at the end of the month.

July–August Total Remittance
From July to 30 August of the current fiscal year, Bangladesh received a total of $4.707 billion in remittances. Compared to the same time last year, this marks a growth of 14.8%, showing a positive trend in foreign income.
Remittance Distribution by Banks in July
In July alone, Bangladesh received $2.478 billion in remittances. The inflow came through different types of banks:

Record-Breaking Fiscal Year 2024–25
In the 2024–25 fiscal year, Bangladeshi migrants sent a total of $30.32 billion (3,032 crore 80 lakh dollars). This is the highest amount of remittance in the country’s history for a single fiscal year, showing the vital role of migrant workers in supporting the economy.
