Bangladeshi Hafiz Anas Wins International Quran Competition as he secures first place at the 32nd global event in Cairo, defeating contestants from 70 countries. The three-time world champion from Brahmanbaria brings pride to Bangladesh once again.
The results were announced on Wednesday (10 December) at 10 PM Bangladesh time. Hafiz Anas’s teacher, Hafiz Nesar Ahmad An-Nasiri, confirmed this great news.
He said,
“শনিবার (৭ ডিসেম্বর) কায়রোতে আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে উদ্বোধন হয় ৩২তম আন্তর্জাতিক কোরআন প্রতিযোগিতা। চার দিনব্যাপী এই মর্যাদাপূর্ণ আয়োজনে বিশ্বের ৭০টি মুসলিম দেশের হাফেজদের সঙ্গে প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতা করে প্রথম হয়েছেন হাফেজ আনাস বিন আতিক।”
Translation: “The 32nd International Quran Competition was officially inaugurated on Saturday (7 December) in Cairo. In this four-day prestigious global event, Hafiz Anas Bin Atik competed with Quran memorizers from 70 Muslim countries and secured the first position.”

Under the supervision of the Islamic Foundation of Bangladesh, Hafiz Anas earned the opportunity to join the global stage after becoming the top scorer in the national selection round held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
According to his madrasa authorities, Hafiz Anas will be given a reception at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Friday (11 December) at 9 AM.
Notably, Anas had also become champion at international Quran competitions held in Saudi Arabia and Libya. The three-time world champion hails from Lopara village of Chuntha Union in Sarail upazila of Brahmanbaria.
