Major International Recognition
Bangladeshi photographer Pinu Rahman has won the National Award at the prestigious Sony World Photography Awards 2026. Although he works as a bank official, photography is his passion. Through this passion, he has been representing Bangladesh on the international stage.
Award-Winning Photo ‘Threads of Life’
He received Sony World Photography Awards for his photograph titled “Threads of Life” (জীবনের বুনন). The competition, organized by the World Photography Organisation and Sony, is one of the most respected photography contests in the world. This year, around 430,000 photos were submitted from more than 200 countries and regions, and one winner was selected from each country.
Exhibition in London
As part of Sony World Photography Awards, Pinu Rahman will receive Sony’s latest digital imaging equipment. His winning photo will also be exhibited at the historic Somerset House from April 17 to May 4. The image will also be featured in the official photo book of the competition.

Pinu Rahman, an official of Rupali Bank, has long been contributing to international media. His photographs have been published in major global outlets such as:
