The Interim government decided today to put all activities of Awami League on hold during ongoing July Unity Movement. The decision of Advisory Council will bar the party from working on a public and online platform.

The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has been ordered to block Awami League’s all online activities, including its Facebook page. The process remains yet to be started with a final circular from the Advisory Council.
This choice has been confirmed again on 11th of May by Fayez Ahmad Tayyeb, Special Adviser to Adviser-in-Charge, Ministry of Post, Telecommunications, and Information Technology.
