A new twist has emerged in the ongoing controversy over the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) elections. Former Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal has reportedly raised complaints to the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) through Indian stars Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir, Said Asif Mahmud.
Advisor’s Statement on Election “Fixing”
BCB sports advisor Asif Mahmud spoke to Jamuna TV, where he strongly criticized the people behind the election drama.
He said:
Translation: “The people who go to all sides for their own interests are the real election fixers of the BCB.”

Threats to Candidates
Asif Mahmud also revealed that some candidates have received serious threats for not withdrawing their nominations.
Translation: “One group has threatened to take revenge six months later on those who did not withdraw their nominations. We have call records. They even sent a complaint to the Indian Board through Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir.”

International Angle
This shocking claim suggests that the BCB election dispute has now reached the international stage, involving top Indian cricketers as messengers of complaints.
Reports also mention that those who are still in the BCB election race and have not withdrawn their nomination are facing threats.
