The government has proposed setting aside 125 crore taka as a special fund for female entrepreneurs in the current fiscal year 2025–2026 budget. This fund seeks to improve the business climate for women and support their increased financial autonomy and self-determination.

The proposal was made by Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed, the Finance Adviser, during the budget speech.
