Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Declares Nationwide Blockades

The Anti-Discrimination Student Movement has announced blockade programs at key points across the country. As part of the July March, the National Citizen Party (NCP) faced attacks on their way back from a rally in Gopalganj, followed by repeated clashes.

The announcement was made on Wednesday (16 July) afternoon via the organization’s official Facebook page.

The Facebook post stated that to protest the attacks on July March leaders in Gopalganj, the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement will carry out blockades at important locations nationwide.

All units of the movement are called upon to organize these blockades in cooperation with local student groups, political parties, and all levels of students.

Meanwhile, Gopalganj has turned into a battleground around the NCP rally. NCP leaders, including Nahid Islam, have taken shelter at the Superintendent of Police’s office.
