BNP Chairperson’s Adviser, Ariful Haque Chowdhury, has suggested controlling internet usage during late-night hours to save the younger generation from being distracted from studies.
He said that many young people are staying online all night instead of focusing on education. According to him, blocking internet access in residential areas and educational institutions after 10 or 11 PM could help reduce this problem.

“রাতে ইন্টারনেট নিয়ন্ত্রণ করা দরকার। কারণ আমাদের ইয়াং জেনারেশন লেখাপাড়া বাদ দিয়ে সারারাত ইন্টারনেটে থাকে। ফলে রতে ১০/১১ টার পরে রেডেন্সিয়াল এলাকা বা শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান এলাকায় যদি ব্লক করার সিস্টেম থাকে তাহলে তা করা দরকার। নাহলে তরুণ প্রজন্ম বিপথে চলে যাচ্ছে।”
Translation:
“Internet control is needed at night. Because our young generation spends the whole night online instead of studying. So, if there is a system to block internet in residential areas or educational institutions after 10/11 PM, it should be done. Otherwise, the young generation is going astray.”
