Attack in Maligacha Union
A violent attack took place in Pabna Sadar’s Maligacha Union on Friday night, September 5. According to locals, a group of attackers vandalized and looted at least five houses during the incident.
Leaders’ Homes Targeted
The houses attacked included those of Shahidul Islam, General Secretary of Maligacha Union Krishak Dal, and Ranbir Sheikh Rani, Assistant Finance Secretary of Pabna District Chhatra Dal. Along with them, several other BNP supporters’ houses were also damaged.

Time and Place of Incident
The attack happened around 10:00 pm on Friday night in Bhojendrapur village, Maligacha Union. Witnesses described the incident as sudden and brutal, leaving the families terrified.
Allegations Against Awami League Supporters
The victims directly accused Awami League supporters of carrying out the attack. They claimed the violence happened due to previous enmity between the two political sides.
Vandalism and Looting Reported
During the attack, houses were broken into, vandalized, and looted. Furniture, household goods, and personal belongings were destroyed or stolen. The families have demanded immediate justice and protection.
