The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is witnessing fresh drama ahead of the upcoming season. The players draft has been canceled for the first time and will be replaced by a full auction, scheduled for 30 November after being postponed three times.
Meanwhile, a major development has emerged that a new franchise named Noakhali Express is joining the tournament. On Monday night, it was confirmed that Noakhali Express, owned by Desh Travels, has officially secured its place in the league.

A team official said,
‘রাতেই মেইলে জানানো হয়েছে দল নিশ্চিতের খবর। আজ বাকি সব আনুষ্ঠানিকতা চূড়ান্ত হবে।’
Translation:“We received the confirmation email last night. All remaining formalities will be completed today.”
With the inclusion of this team the total number of BPL franchises increases from five to six. This expanded lineup will take the field when the new season kicks off on 26 December, with the final tentatively scheduled for 24 January.
