BRAC Announces Medhabikash Scholarship

BRAC has launched its Medhabikash Scholarship 2025 for students who successfully passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination this year and are starting their studies in Class XI for the 2025–26 academic session. The initiative is fully funded by BRAC and aims to support talented students from low-income families so they can continue their education without financial stress.

Financial Support for Students

Medhabikash Scholarship offers two types of financial support:

• A one-time grant of Tk 8,000 to help students meet initial expenses.
• A monthly allowance of Tk 5,000, which ensures continuous financial support throughout the academic year.

This combination is designed to provide both immediate relief and long-term assistance.

Eligibility Requirements

To apply for the scholarship, students must meet the following conditions:

• Must have passed SSC or equivalent examination in 2025 with a GPA of 5.00.
• Must come from a family with a monthly income not exceeding Tk 20,000.
• Must have already secured admission to a government or private college for the 2025–26 academic year.

Priority for Special Groups

BRAC has also decided to give special preference to certain groups of students. These include:

• Children of BRAC programme members.
• BRAC graduates.
• Students from marginalised groups such as persons with disabilities and indigenous communities.

For such applicants, BRAC may relax the academic requirements slightly to make the scholarship more inclusive.

The application process is completely online. Students need to:
