Body Found in Locked House
On Wednesday night (September 3), police discovered of a local Businessman Found Dead, Tawaj Uddin Sheikh, from a locked house in Keshabpur village, Jhenaidah Sadar upazila.
The body was in a half-decomposed state. His hands and legs were tied, and there were injury marks on different parts of his body.
How Police Were Informed
According to police and local sources, a strong smell came from the house. Relatives and neighbours noticed it and immediately informed the police.
When they looked through the window, they saw a body inside the room. Later, police arrived, broke the lock, and recovered the body.
Victim’s Background
Relatives said that Tawaj Uddin Sheikh had recently returned from Dhaka to his village last week.

He had no wife or children and lived alone in the house.

On Monday, locals last saw him. After that, he did not contact anyone.
Message on the Wall
Inside the house, police found a message written on the wall. It read:
“মহানবী হযরত মুহাম্মদ (সা.)-কে নিয়ে কটুক্তির কারণে তাকে হত্যা করা হয়েছে।”
Translation: “He was killed because of making offensive remarks about Prophet Muhammad (SAW).”
So far, police have not given any official statement regarding this wall writing.
