Carney to Uphold ICC Warrant
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said he would arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he enters Canada, in line with the International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrant.
Carney confirmed this stance during an interview with Mishal Husain on Bloomberg’s The Mishal Husain Show, which aired on Sunday.

Supporting Trudeau’s Earlier Decision
Carney mentioned that he stands by the earlier decision made by former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who had agreed to comply with the ICC’s order.
When Mishal Husain directly asked if he would arrest Netanyahu, Carney simply replied:
“Yes.”

Criticism Toward Israel
During the interview, Carney also criticized Israel, accusing it of blocking the formation of an independent Palestinian state and violating international law.
He emphasized that Canada respects international justice and will continue to uphold the rule of law, even when dealing with high-profile leaders.
The ICC issued an arrest warrant against Benjamin Netanyahu over alleged war crimes in Gaza, a move that has sparked global debate and division among Western nations. While some Western leaders have criticized the decision, Canada’s new Prime Minister has clearly chosen to support international accountabili
