Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus Meets EU Delegation to Shape Bangladesh’s Future Path

A meeting between Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus and a delegation of representatives from 27 European Union countries has commenced. The delegation is led by Michael Miller, Head of Delegation of the European Union to Bangladesh. The meeting started at 12:00 PM on Monday (December 9) at the chief advisor’s office. The EU delegation comprises 19 members, and discussions will cover topics such as trade benefits, climate change, minority issues, the implementation of Rohingya repatriation, and commitments towards building a sustainable future. Additionally, the talks are expected to address Bangladesh’s national election issues, democracy, and money laundering. Progress on the fact-finding mission, ensuring GSP (Generalised System of Preferences) facilities, and enhancing bilateral cooperation will also be on the agenda. It is anticipated that the meeting will last for more than an hour. The Chief Advisor is expected to call for increased investment to help resolve ongoing crises in Bangladesh.
