Starlink Service Launched at Chittagong University
Chittagong University has become the first university in Bangladesh to introduce Starlink satellite-based internet service. The initiative aims to provide students with fast and stable internet access, led by the student organization Voice of Student.

The formal inauguration took place on Thursday, October 23, at 4 PM in front of the university’s central library, and the service was inaugurated by CU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kamal Uddin.
Initial Connectivity and Expansion Plans
The Starlink connection can initially support 250 devices simultaneously. Additionally, the service is planned to be expanded across the campus using 30 routers, ensuring broader internet access in multiple areas.

Voice of Student’s Contribution
Speaking at the inauguration, Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kamal Uddin said:
“Voice of Student has been working for the welfare of students at the university for a long time. Today, with the Starlink connection at Chittagong University, a new chapter begins. They have initially set up one connection, and in the future, the university administration will provide necessary support.”
