Chuadanga Struggles in Chilly Weather

The sun remained hidden in Chuadanga throughout the day, casting a twilight-like atmosphere even at noon. A chilly breeze blowing in from the north has intensified the wintery feel, making it noticeably colder. However, temperatures have shown a slight rise compared to previous days, with Monday (December 9) recording the lowest temperature at 12.5°C.
The biting cold has created immense challenges for the working-class population, especially daily wage earners. Their routine activities are being severely disrupted. To find warmth, some are huddling around small fires made from scraps, while others are thronging second-hand clothing markets in search of affordable winter wear. Despite their efforts, these measures are falling short, leaving them to endure extreme discomfort due to the harsh weather.
According to Jaminnur Rahman, the in-charge of the Chuadanga Meteorological Office, the sky is likely to remain partly cloudy for the rest of the week. However, there is no chance of rain during this time. Once the clouds disperse, temperatures are expected to drop further.
