Focus on Traffic Ahead of Eid
While sharing his plans with journalists, Mymensingh Administrator Md. Rokonuzzaman Sarkar said his first priority will be to reduce traffic congestion in the city before Eid.
He added:
English Translation:
“To make Mymensingh city free from traffic congestion, I will have a team of volunteers. They will wear jerseys marked ‘Servant’, and I will personally lead them in the field.”
Concern Over City Cleanliness
Mymensingh Administrator also expressed dissatisfaction about the city’s cleanliness.
He said:
Translation: “It is not acceptable for the city to remain dirty despite having 687 cleaners. If they perform their duties properly, this situation should not exist.”
Plans to Restore Mymensingh’s Glory
Md. Rokonuzzaman Sarkar said he wants to bring back the lost beauty and tradition of Mymensingh.
He stated:
Translation: “I want to return to the beautiful Mymensingh of my childhood. I have sought support from the Honourable Prime Minister to reorganize the city corporation, and I have been assured of help.”
To ensure transparency, he said he will focus more on fieldwork rather than office files. He also announced that he will meet journalists once a month to receive constructive criticism of his work.
