A content creator named Rakibul Islam (27) died after being shot in the capital’s central Shaheed Minar area. He was stabbed after being shot four times in public, police said. The incident took place on Sunday (March 15) at around 9:30 pm in the central Shaheed Minar area.

Rescued after the attack
Police said bullet casings were recovered from the scene after the attack. Locals rescued him and took him to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital in a serious condition.
Death confirmed in hospital
Dhaka Medical Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Farooq confirmed the death. He said that he was brought to the hospital in an injured condition around 10 pm on Sunday and the doctor on duty declared him dead.
